WHITE SOX MAGIC NUMBER: 37
Looks like my memory medication finally kicked in...I finally remember to post something. (It's a B-12 pill if you want to know. I had blood work done in Israel when my short-term memory died and was told that I was deficient in it. B-12 helps improve memory and energy [which explains a lot])
2 main things happened to me this past week: 1. I FINALLY GOT THESE STUPID $@%!!%^& BRACES OFF! Now comes the fun of trying to speak normally with a retainer. Grrrr... 2. I ordered my laptop (after years of planning) from Alienware and should be here around the 21st. Which leads to the next order of business (which should make Daniel proud): The naming contest. What should I name the laptop? Best suggestion will probably win. Alrighty then.
I have some interesting news: At the end of my time in the holy land I told all of you that I would try to make it back to Israel sometime this winter. Up until this week, that possibility was very likely to happen. Now it's chances of occuring are pretty much shot. If you want more details, ask me by e-mail: IronMan84@gmail.com. But as of right now it's not happening. Sorry. :-(
I got an account at thefacebook.com and looked up different groups at NYU. What alarmed me the most was that there wasn't a single filk group. Not a good sign. Many sci-fi groups, but not one filk group. Oh well.
I leave for NY on the 26th, spend shabbos with Will, then check into Weinstein Hall dormitory on the 28th. Then comes the wonderful bureaucratic celebration known as "welcome week". It's essentially a week full of stupid stuff before I start classes. I took a look at the program guide. Free bagels every morning at the Hillel is really the only thing I'm going to be doing out of the other hundred programs. I really gotta stop ranting.
Alright, this post is long enough. Good Shabbos to all.
