First rehearsal!
Tonight was my first real rehearsal of the short I'm doing. It's going to be so much fun!! I'm loving my character and all the interactions among the characters. I think it's kind of Gilmore Girls-esque in the rapid fire dialogue, but also very much a screwball comedy.
Seriously, I don't think I've loved any play instantly like this. Well, not any play that I was cast in anyway. And all my friends in Madison had better come see it. It's going to be wonderful!
Also? Our read-through on Monday night was awesome. I think our short got the most laughs out of any of them. And our stage manager said she thinks this is the best cast short in the show. I'm just so giddy about it. I cannot gush enough, really.
I'm also giddy that I made it through this work deadline alive. And that the rest of my team made it out alive as well. Because there were seriously some days that I was ready to kill someone.
