Why do weekends go by so fast???
I mean, seriously. It's rather annoying. I even had an extra day off, and it doesn't feel like it. I think I need a nice long vacation.
But at least starting tomorrow my nights will be filled with fun stuff instead of the same old, same old. We have our read-through for Queer Shorts tomorrow night, and then after that, I have rehearsal for a stage reading I'm doing for a friend on May 3. Hopefully I'll have a little time this week to catch my breath.
My weekend was pretty awesome, though. My sister did very well on her senior synthesis thingy, which is basically like a thesis defense, except the talk doesn't take quite as long, and it wasn't original research. But she was fantastic, and I enjoyed getting to see it.
Also fantastic was the store Mom and Sis brought me to. It's called Crystal Pathways, and it has a bunch of beautiful pendants made out of rocks/minerals, and also small rocks in general. My mom got me a nice stone on a cord to wear around my neck. It's pretty and blue! I'm quite enthralled by it. It's made of lapis lazuli, which is supposed to help with stress. I don't know if it's really taken effect yet, but we'll see.
Other than that, the weekend wasn't that eventful, which is exactly what I needed. I just wish I could have a couple of extra days off.
