I can play crazy, right?
I went to an audition tonight. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Yup, yup. I'm trying to broaden my horizons by doing a drama instead of a comedy, which I'm apparently really good at. But I really want to delve into a character that's a bit deeper than most of the other characters I've played. So we'll see. There were lots of people at the audition, and I know for a fact that some of them are much better actors than I am, so we'll see. I should hear by the end of the week. Here's hoping.
But if I don't get in this play, that'll give me a good chance to try out for Queer Shorts 4. I really would like to be in that, too. But we shall see about that, too.
I just have a strong desire to be on stage again. I need my moment in the spotlight. Plus, it's like free therapy, which is really nice.
Other than that, I don't really have any news. I might have the boy over for the wine tasting my apartment complex is holding on Thursday. And even if I don't, I'm still going. Work is kicking my ass, and I'll need some relaxation, even if it is artificial. Plus, it's within walking distance, so I can get as tipsy as I want. Yay! And I'm seeing the boy's performance in Proof this weekend, so yay for that, too. I still haven't asked him if he wants to go to my company's anniversary yet. I'm waiting until I get him face-to-face for that.
