Hey, for you trumpets that are interested, the MSU trumpet studio is starting a program this year where any middle or high school trumpet students that want to correspond via e-mail and receive help (probably in the form of lessons, but that has not been discussed yet) with any trumpet pieces they might need help on (or help with trumpet in general) will be paired up with students in the MSU trumpet studio. I already have a guy from Boyd County named Tim Grear (no idea who he is, what age, etc., but I e-mailed him for the first time today) that Mr. Wing assigned me.
This could turn out to be a really great program, and we already have 20+ trumpet players in middle and high schools across the state signed up. Just e-mail me if you're interested or have any questions, or contact me john_41262 on yahoo messenger. Even if I'm not 'online', leave a message and I'll get back to you within the same day, most definately.
You guys probably won't get me as your trumpet player that helps you, but I already give you guys free advice, and it would be a good experience to get advice from another trumpet player here, as well. I really encourage any of you who even MIGHT be thinking of going into music in college (or playing trumpet in college at all) to get involved with this. We're also giving free help with the all-state and any all-district music that you might be having trouble with.
E-mail me at john_41262@yahoo.com if you're interested in being a part of the new Adopt-a-Trumpet Player program. ONCE AGAIN, I DEFINATELY ENCOURAGE IT!!!
Later all.
