Last May 15, I was writing about how the pediatric clinic staff were late in calling me to set my son's appointment. He's been seen in October 2008 and the pediatrician wanted to see him again in six months.
They still haven't called.
My week is booked with appointments for Alex: speech therapy, revision of the intervention plan, meeting for update of the parental respite, meeting with the teacher... However, I'll manage to find the time to show up at the clinic. I don't know how, but I'll make the time.
I dare them to turn me down, I'm waiting for them to do just that... It's the second time they forget my son. I won't wait 18 months, this time.
They don't want parents to call them: "Don't call us, it's us who will call you for your appointment. Calling us is of no use." Oh really? Then, call us, damn it!
I will stop now before really starting a rant, I'll save that for when I show right up at their desk. I've been more than patient and understanding, but I want answers, and I want them yesterday.
Sheesh.
