Magick at SpiralHeart camp

(in response to the facilitation team's account of their work sent out over various Reclaiming mail lists yesterday)

I was at the SpiralHeart camp and made magick with these amazing Witches, and I experienced it much as they described... especially the ease and spontaneity with which we adapted to unexpected developments of the rituals, and the blossoming of Crone Power.

Full disclosure: I was one of the assistant lead drummers who helped shape and power the ritual energy. I was a member of the SpiralHeart org team this past year, I supported the new understandings of the facilitator team from the earliest planning stages, and was delighted how extra magick that no one had foreseen started spontaneously happening in our midst. Maybe some of the Crones foresaw it when fire-scrying in the cauldron during the first night's ritual.

Speaking of visions:
Children in Delano, California had visions of la Virgen de Guadalupe on the evening of July 22 at the same moment we called Guadalupe/Tonantzin in our opening night's ritual, where the Crones scryed in the cauldron. (Thanks to Copper for this news item. 5:30 PM in California was 8:30 in West Virginia, exactly the time in our ritual.)

And then there was the weather in the last night's ritual where we had no one to invoke water until it was time for the ritual to start. One Witch volunteered to call Water at the last minute, but had no idea what to say. She faced the West, opened her arms and mouth, and at that moment anything she would have said was drowned out by the sudden torrent of rain hitting the roof as the skies opened up. The rain continued throughout the ritual and suddenly stopped as we opened the circle.
