Vegetarian gravy

I just concocted this because I've been having mad cravings for vegetarian poutine. OMG it turned out so incredibly excellent, even more delicious than I'd imagined! I amazed myself ( Read more... )

Ahh! That might explain a lot about me :o)

Why is it that people insist gravy is difficult to make without meat stock? It really isn't!

Where would I be without the mighty marmite? Yum!

She's referring to vegetarian "Better Than Bouillon" which we found at Whole Foods yesterday. It's perfect, it's ideal. It's the answer to a cook's dreams.

Meanwhile, I am saving the scraps trimmed from vegetables in a bag in the freezer, to make vegetable stock the old fashioned way.
