So Flippin' Pissed
And not in a good way!
If you are friends of shawcrossedlove or boydsbabe then you already have some idea what I am going to go on about here and what I have to say will pretty much be a recap of their rants, but maybe a bit more since I'm the one who was banned and have found even more crap written about me online because of one comment I made...a justifiable comment if you ask me, but because of (as I've been informed that she is) a passive agressive bitch's insecurity, I'm going to be punished and trashed over it.
So, guess what...I'm going to be a petty person and paybacks are a bitch.
I was a member of the BBB (Billy Boyd Board for those of you who might not know) and I wasn't really active. I checked in just about every day, but mostly only posted in a couple of places because I am not a generally chatty person. Really, I'm not. I only mention this because it comes into play later on.
So...anyway...Baby Jack Boyd is born. Total shocker, but c'mon...Baby...Scottish Baby...Billy's Baby...everyone awww, right? Well, you would think so, but no. Instead, some holier than though little cretin comes in and calls Jack an abomination! Lectures everyone about sin and what they did was wrong, etc...etc...etc...And where is this posted? In the fuckin' congratulations thread started by Billy's own manager to announce Jack's birth.
Her opinion...okay, opinions are okay...they have their time and place though and that thread for sure was not it and I honestly don't think that religious lectures belong anywhere on a fan board.
Also, the thread was an insult to Billy...the very person that board is supposed to be all about admirning. And the thread was allowed to stay. An admin even defended it's right to stay.
So...I decided to quit...wasn't a knee jerk reaction. I actually waited to see if something would be said to justify allowing an attack on Billy to stay, but nothing was done except to move the post and allow people to "discuss" it in an "Opinion" thread (since changed to "Religion"). So, I finally decide to leave because I can not sit by and support a board that allows the subject to be attacked in such a way and I say as much, also including that I was personally offended by the post because I have a child who was born out of wedlock as well.
So, I leave. I actually ended up switching my membership to anonymous because there was one story I was following that I was interested in seeing to the end. However, one day when I went to check, I got a message saying I'd been banned from the community! WTF? I WAS BANNED? FOR WHAT?
Well, for insulting the admin.
Give me a flippin' break!
*in best stu macher impression* But wait...there's more!
I was banned, but the little Bible-thumper that insulted Billy was allowed to stay. Another girl who consistently insults Ali, is allowed to stay, but because I disagreed with and called into question the judgment of the administration, I was banned.
BULL FUCKING SHIT!
So, my leaving and subsequent banning seems to have lead to a bit of a mass exodus (or I guess minor exodus since it's not a whole lot of people) and I thank all of the good people who see the hypocricy at that board and have decided to leave. Those are good people.
The bad people are those that are now going around saying I didn't support the board because I didn't have a high post count and who are pretty much blaming me for a hissy fit thrown by one of the admins. Those are the people I, and my friends, no longer want to be associated with.
So..if you are a Billy Boyd fan, I highly recommend going anywhere else to admire the man, because I don't think you really want to be associated with people who think it's okay to bash him and his loved ones and that attack those who feel those things are wrong.
