"DHE"

A quick entry before dashing off to bed. I'm off to hospital tomorrow to stay for 5 days to treat my daily migraine. It's recently been the three year anniversary mark so what better way to celebrate than to try something crazy and try and get rid of it once and for all. Nothing's worked so far, not even a steroid injection to the back of the neck! So now an intravenous drip of a certain Dihydroergotamine drug every 8 hours into my system for the period I am in hospital is on the menu and I'm not looking forward to the aftertaste. The side-effects are bad; panic attacks, high blood pressure, nausea and vomiting but all temporary, or so they say, so I'm looking at it as optimistically as it would seem reasonable to do. If you live locally or are in the London area (i.e. none of you) visit me pls, that would be swell.

In other news, I've been ill near-death but otherwise very cheery, out regularly in the comnpany of hilarious dudes and pretty women and enjoying the limited summer. Olympics always makes me a happy man, hopefully I'll be able to watch it in hospital. I have a DS, a friend's PSP and millions of games to keep me occupied otherwise. After all this, more importantly than the med working, I hope I'll be able to remember my own name come the end of next week.
