Just figured I should let you know in case you didn't notice already, your poll on your main site is quite compromised. A friend and I voted about 500 times total for Yea, it looks good(It doesn't, btw) because it's easy to exploit and get more votes counted.

Then why would you mess with it? What a shame.

An unfortunate personality trait-I felt obligated to exploit the system because it was flawed, doing so to demonstrate the flaw in the system. I also wanted to make sure you knew that I did so, because I wasn't trying to deceive you, but just to suggest that maybe if you want to continue the polls a different poll site might be worth investigating. The ratio was a pretty solid 1 to 1 to 4.

I still don't know who you are because you're posting this anonymously.

I'm glad you feel good about exploiting the system but you've also wasted my time as I was going to use the results in the review. Now I can't because of this unfortunate character trait. I was aware of the problem and researching new free online polls to use in the future. I really wish you had just contacted me about it. Does me being disappointed factor in as a success in your exploitation of the flaw?

You're right, I shouldn't have even told you in any way, so that you could have used flawed data? You're only taking it from an antagonistic perspective, rather than just accepting that I don't necessarily approve of my own behavior but felt a need, consider it something akin to what someone with OCD feels, a compulsion, but for me it was to exploit the flaw to make sure that the system becomes stronger rather than risking the flaw being ignored as "Minor" or "Insignificant".
This isn't me saying that I'm not sorry that you didn't get to use your data, but hopefully you can understand that my intention wasn't cruel but rather self motivated. Compulsory.

You're still anonymous.

I'm not only taking it from that perspective. I told you that i was glad you felt good about it. I meant that. ...I'm just disappointed that your issue had to have an impact on me. It's a shame is all that one of us has to suffer. I'm not angry or sad or even shocked. Just disappointed.

And I never said you shouldn't have told me. All I said was that I wish you had e-mailed me first.. That was before I knew about your condition. I guess the best compromise is for me to just stop running polls on my site. That way you won't have the compulsion to interfere with me trying to have fun on my little corner of the web.

I am still anonymous, why would you even suspect that I have a livejournal to begin with? Besides that, though, you yourself said you were aware of a flaw and were looking into correcting it. Why would you want to correct it? Because it could be exploited, there is no other reason. So nothing has changed from what you've said, you're still aware of the flaw and should still want to correct it ( ... )

I would suspect you have a Livejournal because you're posting here and because you said that you wanted to make sure you knew that you did it.

What has changed is the results of the polls. I can no longer use that information.

I'm insulted that you're accusing me of being passive aggressive. I was sincere in everything I said. I thought I was being very fair and diplomatic to you. ...I thought I was being nice. I guess not.

Thank you for letting me know about the faulty data.

Take care.
