A little over a year ago, when the Institute that I work for moved into the new building along the downtown canal in Indy, I posted a few pictures of the building. Since our torrential rains have finally yielded to some sunshine, I thought I would post a few more photos of the area adjacent to the building.
This is a waterfall feature that is the starting point for the canal.
This is another view from above.
They now give gondola rides along the canal over the weekends. The gondola is "parked" at our end of the canal when not in use.
An old church which overlooks the canal was converted into a restaurant, and seems to be doing respectable business, especially on their veranda.
An up-to-date view of our building, with trees in bloom.
The sculpture which was placed outside the building entrance. Since we are involved in research, I believe this is meant to represent the flame of knowledge.
