" Lost but Alive " - Joseph Kibler
He is a left wing charmer, who never got it right,
He took to his armor when he was told to fight,
For things he loved and the people who would stand,
Behind his cold eyes is a warm-blooded man,
In the center of the coast he stood back to the sand
Saw there was more to life than a shore and some land,
He set down his flag and stretched out his arms,
Called to his people, who he tried not to alarm,
They awoke to this new place,
With a startling face,
Nothing could replace,
No nothing replaced,
What they thought of as home,
But every place is home for the man who doesn’t no where to go,
Now he is a leader,
Feeding for a reason,
Bleeding for a meaning,
Trying to keep a gleaming smile on his people,
They are lost in the spectrum of a negative light,
Sought for the questions about their own life,
When he couldn’t give an answer their ears turned away,
But he never lowered, his voice it would strain,
Now every day they awake,
With a startling face,
Nothing could replace,
No nothing replaced,
The feeling of feeling alone,
But every meaning, doesn’t have a reason for the man with nothing to show,
Everyone has faded,
Decayed or evaded
The man who could not create,
The life they had needed,
So he sits all alone,
With his cold eyes,
Graying hair in his own disguise,
Wiser than he realized,
Now every day he is the only one to awake,
No startling face,
Nothing could replace,
Nothing replaced,
He is his own,
Because every man who is lost, is still alive,
Live every day until you must die,
You can question but don’t you let it get you,
That is what he realized,
Lost but alive...
