Tell me where I went wrong in this hand (Texas Hold 'Em of course):

Situation: Blinds are 50/100, I've got about 7500 in chips and I'm sitting one seat after the big blind on a 9-person table.

Hand: I have pocket Queens.

Pre-Flop Action: I raise 500 chips and get one caller, sitting two seats after me (so I'm out of position).

Flop: 3h,6d,8d comes, so I've got an over pair. I bet 800, figuring if he called with an Ace I don't want him drawing through the river and beating my Queens. He re-raises me all in with about 4200 chips, so it's around a 3400 chip raise (about 75% of my remaining stack at this point).

My thinking: If he had AA or KK he would have re-raised me before the flop or at least just called my 800 raise trying to suck me in. The cards on the board are shit, so I'm thinking he has Ace/8 maybe. If he has diamonds, I'm 69% to win the hand because one of my queens is a diamond. So I call.

Result: Dude has Jack/Three of diamonds and catches a diamond on the turn for the flush. Last card is black, so I don't out-flush him with my Queen and I lose the hand and most of my chips.

Now, I guess the all-in with a weak flush draw could just be considered aggressive play...so I'm gonna try not to fault the guy for that. But he did call a 5x big-blind raise pre-flop with J3.

He also started making fun of me for calling with "nothing but Queens" and I told him he could have told me what his hand was and I still would have called. Was that stupid of me? Should I have folded there? Should I have raised bigger pre-flop and been happy with the blinds?
