Somehow I've survived the plague that afflicted me last week, and now I'm feeling at least 85% better. I think taking it easy this weekend was exactly what I needed to recover. I visited a friend Fri night, spent much of Saturday home playing the computer games (yeah World of Warcraft for fellow geeks), did a little grocery shopping Sunday, followed by a bit of painting, and all told I feel like this weekend has helped restore me after a kind of crappy week last week. Don't doubt the power of soup! In this case it was lentil with some left over ham I decided to add into it. Yummy, and probably better for me than some of the crap I ate this week due to laziness and sickness.
This week: Planning the Halloween Before Christmas party. Most of the party supplies will have to be bought Friday since it's pay day, but the party doesn't start until after 9 so I expect that's plenty of time. At some point this week I'm dedicating a night to crafty party decoration fun. I'm thinking I can hang bats and reindeer from the ceiling fan for a holiday inspired mobile :P Also this week is Flux's Sin City night, which sounds cool. I'm not 100% certain I'm going this week, but I have a costume idea so if I don't go I'm saving the costume idea for the Halloween Before Christmas Party instead. Also, I have to figure out Christmas gifts for this year. Many/most people are getting art, which means I have to start figuring out what I want to do for everyone, and then actually do it. I also have to fit in time for other painting projects that need more work before mid January (but that doesn't have to all be fit in this week). Wow, so much work to do, so little time.

PS Anyone who's interested in the party this Friday but didn't get the Myspace notice feel free to ask for directions and details.
