If you look up procrastination in the dictionary you'll find a picture of me. For months I've had this entry deadline for Spectrum http://www.spectrumfantasticart.com/ looming over me. It's a yearly art competition for sci-fi and fantasy artists. I'd consider it the most prestigious competition for this type of art around, and I was lucky enough to have been in it once before, but I haven't entered in years. So anyways, I've known the deadline for months, and slowly let it creep up on me as I focused on other things around me. Well, it's gotten to the point where the deadline is very close and now it's time to focus. I spent this weekend with no other activities planned but artwork, and I made soem profress. Not as much as I had hoped, but enough where I can comfortably finish in time, especially when combined with the week vacation I decided I'm taking this week to really make sure there are no snags.
I expect to have 2 solid entries, and perhaps a third simpler piece to enter if I decide to spend the cash on the entry fee for it.
