So I've been having nothing but problems with Alltel lately...and they have been giving me the run around about why I'm having issues. I haven't been able to make or receive many calls from my house in about 3 weeks, yesterday John's phone went into roaming and he could no longer make or receive calls. So I called last night and was told that there was an outage and it could take up to 48 hours to get it fixed. Mind you I've been having issues with my phone for about 3 weeks now, so I knew that it wasn't an outage. So we waited.....and today around 5 I called again asking the same question I asked yesterday. This time the answer I got was "there are no outages, so it must be an equipment problem." I'm a little pissed now because last night I was told something completey different and our phones still don't work. So we go to the mall and head to Verizon to check out their plans and phones. Get a credit check done and find out I don't need a deposit....so we canceled alltel and we are now with Verizon. I go to my parents and guess what? Our phones work great...I get home and gues what?? Our phones work just fine! My mom told me she read an article in the paper a few weeks ago about a service provider that are currently using 2 types of service and are trying to do away with one, forcing people to switch over and/or buy new phones..... She can't remember for sure what service it was but she thinks it was Alltel.

So yeah anyway John and I have verizon phones now but our numbers are still the same.
