(no subject)
So two things happened today.
1. I finally got a raise. I didn't get a raise last year because my shop is just plain stupid and froze everyones wages. I got a decent raise too, which I guess for the time being will be enough to keep me around for a little while longer.
2. I went the HR office today with the list of classes for another program (Quality Improvement) I would like to get into and she actually didn't tell me no this time. Instead she was surprised I was interested in this program and asked why I didn't sign the posting for the quality position which was never posted. I just looked at her and said "I didn't see the posting so I wasn't aware there was one, else I would have signed it," after that she told me she thinks she might be able to pull some stings so I can go but she has to check into it more and see if this is something they will want me to do in the future.
So I guess today has been a good day.
