Last Friday was the day of the defense. Jessica had a meeting with her advisor at 9 AM before her defense time of 11 AM. The alarm went off at 7 and I don't think either of us really wanted to get up because she really wasn't too eager to defend. But she went over her presentation again while I got breakfast. We left for Urbana much later than we wanted to. Jessica was done teaching at 1 PM, but I had a test for a job application and it was only given on Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 PM (more in a different post).
