the truth

everything that people do and fight for seems to be derived from how each person thinks it's all going to end. I saw a cartoon the other day that showed a little girl in a wheel chair, sitting at a table in her kitchen reading a newspaper. As she reads the newspaper, she says to herself in shock, "They're prepared to spend HOW MUCH to get a man to ( Read more... )

Just so you know, your religious friend who thinks that in order to save the nation we need to destroy religious impurities is making the fascist argument. Germany was falling apart, so they had to take out the communists, the unions, the jews, the gypsies, the handicapped, the homosexuals, etc. etc. That was the only way to save the nation. He may not give a shit now, but if america's downfall hurts him personally, he may go on a rage looking for the 5th column to attack ( ... )

one: when you start accusing people who are joking of making "the fascist arguement" then you lose credibility with me whenever i hear the words "fascist arguement" come out of your mouth

two: it's totally democracy vs. tyranny. and this time, it's personal.

one: It didn't read like a joke, it read like you were serious. What's funny about it?

two: Strange standards for credibility, most people use facts.

one: i'm gonna have to agree with jon on this one. fascists don't come from no where and become hitler. it's a gradual process that requires millions of people starting to think like your friend. he's a fascist, damn it!

two: don't bring the hebrew hammer into it... if.. that's what you were doing

one: he's not my friend, it's just a random website.

two: i don't understand what he possibly said that was fascist.

three: (gasp!) they used to say the same thing about communists.

dude, i totally thought you were calling the website fascist (the link for the 72 virgins.) I totally forgot what i had written above it. Although I didn't entirely agree with the kid, I wouldn't call him fascist yet. I think you simplified my simplification of his actual argument. He did not say to save the nation we had to attack religious impurities. He mentioned a lot of other things that he believed had already brought the "nation" down worse than homosexuality. He saw homosexuality acceptance of a symptom of something else. He never said destroy anyone. But i understand why you would call him fascist, or at least the beginnings of a fascist.

my bad.

p.s. he wasn't my friend. he was a kid i met in an elevator in miami.

p.p.s. he sucked my dick for two dollars right after.
