Busy Weekend
Did I even sit down this weekend? Maybe in the car while writing Christmas Cards and making phone calls to various retail stores. We made more than a few road trips to San Diego, Fullerton and Lake Elsinore this weekend to look at some Jeeps and Hubby finally found what he was looking for in Murrieta. Its a totally cool Jeep and almost exactly what he wanted for a great price. And the kids are thrilled about it as well. So that is good news... the vehicle hunt is finally over after about a month. But it was worth the wait considering some of the other dumpy cars we checked out. I'd post a pic, but I haven't taken one yet. Now I just have to get him to sell his truck. :)
I tried to get some more Christmas shopping in this weekend also. People are crazy when they are shopping. I almost saw a fight break out in a shoe store for those last pair of boots. But I admit... even I drove to four different stores and called at least a half a dozen more looking for the exact boots that my girls wanted for our Utah trip. We got lucky and ended up with the last pairs in their size in all of North OC. yay! haha... crazy. Now I just have to go get them new sneakers. It seems the ones we bought them just three months ago are already 1/2 a size too small... growing kids! lol.
Saturday evening was our relaxing time of the whole weekend. We went to Uncle Dick's boat in Huntington Harbor and got to watch the Annual Boat Parade of Lights. I couldn't tell you what kind of boat he has, exactly, but there were about 20 family and friends on it that night, and A&J had front row seats for the parade. Of course, everyone thought our girls were adorable. I forgot my camera, but the boats were fun to watch. Some had music, some had choirs, some had moving decorations, some had big screen tv's, and they all had lots and lots of lights. It was fun and we were happy to have been invited.
So it was a busy, busy weekend and we didn't get our house completely decorated yet... but that is on my agenda for this evening. ;)
