I'd gotten a nice little break the past few weeks after tour, for which I honestly couldn't complain. And I had some more time before I started working on my album and the next season of Sonny. But in the gap between then, I now have to start doing promotional photoshoots, interviews, appearances and the sort. Which isn't half as long or as bad as spending 12 hours a day filming in a studio, so I knew I'd still get to spend time with my lovey and babies. Thankfully, Cody agreed to come with me for today at least, and to keep him entertained, he'd also bring along our new kitten. Lou! So I knew today would go much smoother having company that I enjoyed.
I set my alarm clock a little earlier than Cody's because I had to shower and be a clean slate for the hair and makeup artists at the shoot. I carefully tried to hop out of bed, trying my best not to wake up Cody or the kids that were all in our bed. I tip-toed to the bathroom, closing the door behind me before unclothing and jumping into the shower. After washing my hair, shaving and doing the whole nine yards, I dried myself with a towel and topped my nude body with a robe. I softly opened the door, getting ready to wake Cody up with a million kisses but to my surprise, he was sitting up on the bed, his glasses on and playing with the kiddies.
"Babe!" I shouted, surprised to see him up, as I charged towards him. I threw my arms around his neck and pressed my lips to his. I didn't kiss him fro too long though, pulling away to give him a chance to breathe. "We have to leave in 15 to 20 minutes, okay? They have breakfast and all that at the shoot." I gave him one last peck on his lips as I walked over to my closet to throw on sweat pants and a tanktop and to brush out my tangled, wet hair. I'll leave the blow drying and all that to the professionals.
