Comment ( specifically ) and I will give you 3 interests on your list, and 3 icons, for you to explain.
And my answers to the two people who I asked for this from:
alichica886 Interests:
Glam rock. I enjoy the musical style, and the musicians. I'm a David Bowie fan, have been forever, and I like quite a few other songs and singers from the time. I like the androgyny - boys in makeup, yay! Also like Lou Reed and Marc Bolan.
Time Trax. Ah, Time Trax. It was a brilliant and wonderful TV series, made here in Australia, which had a really interesting concept. Criminals from the 22nd century had found a way to get back to the present day. A police officer of their time (Darien Lambert) was sent back to find them. I'm a sucker for time travel, and I really connected with the show and the character of Darien. I must have a thing for guys from the future or something, I swear. Especially captains. *g*
Lester Bangs. Famous music critic, brilliant writer, died far too young. Immortalised by Philip Seymour Hoffman in the movie Almost Famous. There was something incredibly charismatic about the movie version and I read his book and he was even more brilliant, imo. Amazing man. He also once said he'd like to suck Lou Reed's cock.
The fine ass in this picture belongs to John Barrowman. I found the picture on one of the Doctor Who icon communities and liked it. The text is my favourite part really *g*
So there's a Smallville Season Four episode I can't remember the title of offhand, but in it, the Maroon 5 song She Will Be Loved is played in a scene with Lana and Jason (Jensen Ackles). I fell in love with the song and asked the wonderful
edgecity if she would make me a Lana icon with those lyrics on it. And she did. And to think I found out about this because people were being really annoying about She Will Be Loved being a Chloe song. I've long ago learned not to assign songs to characters and/or fandoms. There'll always be another one it fits.
Oh Russell Crowe. I like his acting a great deal. This icon was made for me a couple of Christmases ago as a gift - one of the wish list requests I made was for icons based on my interests, of which Russell is one. Thanks to
sweetsorcery And the text was her doing! ;)
Answers for
bacchic_dragon Interests:
Amy Irving. I've actually always liked her acting, but the reason she's on my interests list is for her part in the TV movie Anastasia: The Mystery Of Anna, the story of the woman who claimed to be the Russian princess who was supposedly killed in the Russian Revolution. It's a fascinating story. And incidentally the TV movie was also the acting debut of none other than Christian Bale - and Amy Irving recommended him to her then-husband, Stephen Spielberg, for Empire Of The Sun.
John Cale. He was the other founding member of The Velvet Underground with Lou Reed. He's also Welsh. And was quite hot when he was young (I think Lou aged better though). One could say he's the Keith to Lou's Mick, or the Paul to Lou's John when comparing the Velvets to other classic rock bands.
Yves Saint Laurent. Well, actually, I like his clothing designs and perfume. And I have actually written slash about him - paired with Andy Warhol. He was quite hot when he was young and I like the idea of Andy Warhol slash quite a bit.
*giggles* This one is popular. The fine ass belongs to John Barrowman, and I found the icon in one of the Doctor Who icon comms and just had to have it. I also like and agree with the text. Somewhat different answer above re: the same icon.
Mmm. Dale Midkiff as Darien Lambert. See above for an explanation of the show Darien comes from, Time Trax. I was lucky enough to get this one made as a gift by
sweetsorcery when one of my Christmas wishlists was for icons based on my interests and she picked Dale.
Hee! My Tenth Doctor (aka David Tennant) icon. Well, it's the Doctor, playing with his sonic screwdriver. Okay maybe he's um... trying to resonate concrete or something. But yes, it's a very typical (in a good way) pic of the Doctor and I was looking for Who icons (it came from the same icon search as the one above of John Barrowman).
