la roche posay effaclar duo
while i was experiencing the bad breakouts (from clarisonic, i suspect), the SA reccomended me to use the LRP effaclar duo during the watsons sale. initially, i wanted to try out the new normaderm moisturiser (despite have an allergic reaction to it earlier...) but told her about my concerns and she reccomended me this instead.
true enough, this is milder than the vichy.. how did i know? because my allergic rection took longer to surface!!!! in a very strange way (or maybe not coz they have similar ingredients), i had the same exact allergic reaction, in the same area as vichy! only this took about 3x longer before it surfaced...
i think i'm allergic to some ingredient that left the side of my right cheek near the mouth red, swollen, blistery with pus! extremely scary! i think it got burnt? it took alot of aloe vera and steriods cream and a few days for it to disappear entirely.
since that incident, i've not dared to use it again and dont think i will! it's a pity coz the reviews are pretty good and it is formulated for sensitive skin so i dont understand why i had a reaction to it! also, my skin looked terrible with new spots appearing after using it!
i've since given it to the hubs! (and itchy fingers me actually got the effaclar K too! which i doubt i should use...)
