Twilight

Poor Twilight is sick. His tank had gotten all algae-like so we bought these tablets that were supposed to clear it out in the alka-seltzer fashion, and we think it really effed up the tank. He stopped swimming around and was just sitting in the corner. Jason called me yesterday to tell me he thought he died, or was at least dieing, but he cleaned out the tank anyway and then went to the petstore and talked to a man there. Apparently Twilight will be okay, but it may take a couple days. We think the tablets may have killed the good bacteria and so upset the balance. So poor little big-headed Twilight sits on the bottom and hyperventilates next to the bubble wand Jason set up yesterday. He (Jason) also got some gravel to put in the bottom instead of the marbles we had, because it helps grow the good bacteria, and a couple get well plants. We haven't put the gravel in yet because it can cause a drastic change in the pH level and he's in such a fragile state.

The guy at the store said he won't starve to death, 'cause it doesn't seem like he's been eating, and should be back to his old self again soon, but it's sad to just see him sit there. Poor guy. :(
