Colin's actions, his logic, his fears and convictions, his decisions in this story - they are all so achingly familiar.

I think that's why this fic hit me hard too. These are decisions, events in our lives that don't come with scripts and we don't realise we played it wrong until the scene done. *sigh* but sometimes... we get lucky and play it right the second time. :)
