my favourite online/mobile writing environment

At work I only have access to computers with pre-installed software, none of which is what I would personally choose. If I want to work on a fic when the boss isn't watching during my lunch break I need 1) the most recent version of said fic 2) a writing environment that I can easily hide in a browser window and doesn't drive me mad ( Read more... )

I like that this is more like the plain text editors I like to use and doesn't have all these distracting features word processors like Word and google docs come with. just me and the text. :)

Thanks for that! Never heard of it before, but it looks very useful. (Not that I'm even theoretically in the mind to write at work.. I kinda need my rituals and a very specific environment to be creative ;)) But I'm sure this comes in handy at one point or another. If just to have a change of interface - yeah, that sometimes helps me get over my writer's block.

I love the "send per e-mail" option! So fast and plain.
(Is there a way to change the default font though? I guess not..)

Google is so mighty already, but what if it keeps coming up with cool stuff?!

I'm afraid you can't customize anything really. it's very plain and simple. but that's actually what I like about it. keeps the focus on the task at hand. :)

and, oh, this is not made by google. goggle just offers developers the option to use their login structure. that way small independent developers don't have to store and maintain user databases. (sorry, you probably didn't even want to know that. *lol*)

Oh yes, I absolutely want to know stuff like that :) Interesting. Suddenly cross-log-ins make so much more sense.

And you're right, the 'simple' is part of why these tools work so well... I feel similar about Write or Die ;)
