my favourite online/mobile writing environment
At work I only have access to computers with pre-installed software, none of which is what I would personally choose. If I want to work on a fic when the boss isn't watching during my lunch break I need 1) the most recent version of said fic 2) a writing environment that I can easily hide in a browser window and doesn't drive me mad.
Let me introduce you to My Writing Spot (formerly known as My Writing Nook).
It's perfect if you prefer minimal writing environments like plain text editors and if you already have a google account (since it works with your google login). My Writing Spot doesn't do much, it just provides a wordcount, autosave, a minimal dictionary/thesaurus and let's you download and email chapters to yourself for backup. There are also mobile versions for iPhone/iPod touch, iPad and Android.
