♥ Happy Birthday maja_li, sarahetc & faithwood ♥
This year I thought I'd do something different for your birthdays. Each month there will be a rec-post in which I rec fic/art/... made by the birthday kids. I'll try to rec lesser known fics or pairings, or older things that somehow stuck with me.
January is easy, there are only 3 birthdays and I've read fic by all of you, my dears. ^_^ So here goes:

I can only encourage you to have a look at maja_li's fiction, which is mostly slash, but here I'm going to rec her sole femslash story.
The Lily and the Rose [Narcissa / Molly - PG13 - ~4k] is a very sweet story about Narcissa and Molly while they were still at Hogwarts. There are copious amounts of adorable UST. Cameos by: Arthur, Horace, ... and lesbian pirates. :)
Author's summary: You want her, she wants you... what, exactly, is the problem here, ladies?

I met sarahetc through one of the Snape LJ-coms, but what I want to rec here is one of her Firefly stories. What I love about those is that she can conjure up the perfect atmosphere for a scene, it's like opening a door and peeking inside and then withdrawing again because you don't want to intrude on a private moment.
What We Do [Kaylee/Wash - PG - ~500] Wash and Kaylee are stuck aboard the Serenity, while the others are out on a mission.

You all know Faith for her steaming hot and funny H/D fics. So I thought I'd rec one of her equally steamy Harry/Ginny fics, because het can be awesome too! :)
Rushing In [Harry/Ginny - NC17 - ~5k] They are so incredibly adorable in this! It really should be printed out and stuck between the ending and this ghastly epilogue. ;) This is easily my favourite first-time fic.
Summary: Harry and Ginny are "doing it" for the first time right before Ginny has to return to Hogwarts for her last year.
