I went to StC today to meet with my applied professor. We talked about the recital and his thoughts on the matter. There are a few things that I disagree with him on, and probably always will. Others I totally understood and agreed on. I also picked up a CD of my recital. For the most part all is well on it. I listened to it on the drive up to the BLA. Parts suffer on a shitty boombox. I listened again just now through head phones and a computer, and it's a bit better. I am sad though because the first piece is missing the first seven measures. Oddly enough no one else noticed, because where the recording starts is simply the re-statement of the former in new instrumentation. The big issues through the entire thing are simply performance issues due to lack of rehearsal. My Bad. I am going to another recital tomorrow evening where two more pieces of mine will be performed. I'm hoping to get recordings of those right away so I can made a CD and give it to the fam for x-mas this weekend.
