My work stopped being so much fun. Except the Milan-weekend I've spent every weekend as of Christmas working. Work at least an hour in the evening, after coming home. I just found out I'm gonna have to give one more class as of April. The evening students' group is filled with students that are older, working, or studying something else at the same time. That makes them more motivated to attend the classes and to take _active_ part in them. They keep me on guard by asking questions, practical questions... I just sent my manuscript to print!!! Will celebrate this weekend by doing NO work. :) Next week: send it to the commission for review. Then: 6 weeks of not looking at it. Me happy. :)

Got the students' evaluation of my teaching. Scored supposedly really good for the first time - I'm a bit over the average (every teacher of my subject taken into account to calculate that) for every detailed question they got (e.g. whether the explanations were clear, whether they have learned much, whether the structure of the lessons was good  ( Read more... )

3yrs working for my university and they don't have my diploma in my personal files. As I recall no one requested any proof of me graduating law when I applied for becoming a PhD. It's official! I'm getting a new contract at my university as of 1 September - some documents have just been signed about it. I'll be a university teacher-researcher (UD) for a year and if everything goes well they gonna prolong that contract for indefinite period of time thereafter. It's the third one. First foreign (published outside Poland and not written in Polish) one, though. Hardcover, 617 pages long out of which 20 is mine. :) My chapter is the only one written in English in it, so it's easy to find. "Gedrag en privaatrecht" means "Behavior and private law".
