I was super lazy yesterday and didn't make a schedule, so I'm gonna wing it today. Hopefully I will be inspired today to do it.
Todays topic is "The boys"
I've always wanted to have kids, specifically boys. When I had Elijah, I was thrilled to have a little boy, then when I was pregnant with Caleb, -everyone- thought it was going be a girl. Initially we weren't going to find out the sex, but I wanted to be prepared, clotheswise, for either one. I didn't want to have to buy two coming home outfits either. When we found out it was a boy, I was shocked, literally shocked. The ultrasound lady was like, "Are you ok???". I couldn't help it, when you think of someone being a girl for so long and that person turns out to be a boy, it's just weird.
But raising boys has been so much fun. I don't miss any of the girl stuff, except for the dresses... I def don't miss the attitudes. We play catch, get dirty in sand boxes, swing on swings, run around, play with cars... lots and lots of cars and Legos, let's not forget about them either. Last year and the year before Elijah wanted a skateboard, I wouldn't get it for him cause I thought he was going to bust his head open. Luckily this year he is enthrawled with Angry Birds, so he has somewhat forgotten about the skateboard.
We have decided that Caleb is going to be a jock. He loves watching anything sports related. He will sit on the floor and flail his arms around while watching it. We have also decided that Elijah is going to be a computer geek because he figures out electronics entirely too fast. He as smart as anything too. He started talking late, but the first things he started to say were numbers. He would count things out loud, correctly, at 16 months old. Then he learned his alphabet when he was 2... from watching Sesame Street. He also learned his colors that year. He has been at least a year ahead of everything, learning-wise. He is four and can write letters and numbers. They are far from perfect, but you can def tell what they are.
I guess that is the boys. I love them to death and wouldn't trade them for anything... Not even all the free time in the world. :o)
