128 Scout - Day 26: We didn't start the fire... well, actually, we did.
Today I changed the oil in the mower and mowed the larger patches of the parents' yard, then we loaded up and took it back to Jones Creek. I did some small tasks around the house and yard while we waited for my mattress to be delivered. Among other things, dad and I got some brush moved from the front of the lot to the back where a couple of tree trunk/stumps needed to be burned. After the mattress was delivered we took a break and got some lunch and more tools, then returned to the house. Dad started the small brush fire while I moved some concrete blocks into position at the door behind the house. It looks like I'm going to need more blocks, because the area I wanted to cover is a big larger than I had estimated. Once the fire was going I moved more brush over to keep it going strong and then once it had started to taper off we made our way back to Lake Jackson. I haven't fully decided yet, but I might go back to the house tonight and spend my first night there since I've finally got a mattress in the new house (though no bed frame yet). \o/
