Tonight after work I got down to the house fairly quickly and got to work fixing the bent bracket on the anti-scalp wheel of the mower, then got busy mowing the rest of the yard. The new mower made pretty quick work of it (all things considered) but I didn't really focus on doing a great job since I plan to mow it again at a lower deck-height setting as soon as feasible. It looks like I've got a leak in the left front tire though, because by the time I'd finished it was flat, and this tire was also a bit low when I first received the mower. I need to do some testing to determine if it's just got a leaky valve core or if the tube itself has a leak. I ended up mowing over some of what I had mowed on Sunday just because it has grown so fast that it seemed necessary, so that's a bit of an aggravation. Too much rain and then sun lately!
In other news, the burning of the "stump" in the concrete pad has gone very well and there are no longer any protrusions from the pad that could cause damage to the mower.
