My mom.  You got to love her.  Otherwise, you'll go nuts.

So, since my mom doesn't have internet at home, I had to buy airplane tickets for her online (she's going to go visit her friend in Arizona...which I am so GLAD she's finally doing.  The woman never gets out!) and now I had to print out the email to mail to her!  The letter I wrote said the

What a good daughter you are! I assume you use a Mac too? Otherwise I was going to say there maybe no one to help her if you're not there.

Yeah, well there's lots of guilt going on there for living 3000 miles away and not calling as often as I should and purposfully not answering the phone on some weekends because I just don't want to talk to her.

And, yes, I am a Mac person. A convert, really, which makes me the worse Mac person around.

Wow that's generous! Is she a Mac person? BC maybe it's hard for older ppl to figure out new things.

Mom would have to learn how to use any new computer, so it really doesn't matter. She has a computer at work, but can only use the one program they have for her job. She can't even use the internet unless it's to look at the company website.

I know she wouldn't use it too much, but my aunts all have email now, and she'd enjoy using it to send them stuff. Plus she likes using things like Print Shop to make little books for people. The crapy computer she has now (which is an old Apple with OS9 I believe) barely does these things.

I guess, most of all, Mom won't do anything for herself. I know she wants a new computer, but she'd never actually say it. And she'll never actually buy one for herself. It really drives me nuts. I mean, she bought a new mattress for the first time since I was at least 5 years old! So, that's a 24 year old mattress she had on her bed!
