chellebelle23 1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before? Worked a job that I actually like and feel accomplished about. And started doing a lot of cooking from scratch [ thanks to the new job, ;-) ]
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Probably not.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes. Sara and Sean had a baby girl!
4. Did anyone close to you die? No.
5. What countries did you visit? If Vermont counts as Canada...
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007? A sold screenplay
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 4th of July and Labor Day... Holidays in Venice Beach rule! Starting my new job at Bon Appetit, the day after
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I quit my job at the Standard, to find a “real” job.
9. What was your biggest failure? Not getting my short film filmmed.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I don’t think so.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Errrr... you can buy things?
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? J.D., for being an awesome DP, even if the film didn’t get made yet. And Paty.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? I don’t want to do any finger pointing.
14. Where did most of your money go? Getting by, especially after two months of unemployment
15. What did you get excited about? Being about to go home to Colorado for the holidays. The Rockies going to the World Series, holy cow how weird. Sweeney Todd finally being released in film version. Harry Potter. AND The new movies out this fall. What a good year for flicks!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007? “Burn The Maps” by Castledoor, “What We Had” by Handsome Furs, “Keep the Car Running” by Arcade Fire, “All I Need” by Radiohead, “I Feel It More” by Feist, “Postcards from Italy” by Beirut

i. happier or sadder? In the middle somewhere.
ii. thinner or fatter? Probably the same
iii. richer or poorer? Maybe a tad richer, but it doesn’t feel like it.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Wish I’d traveled more! Only left LA twice. Eeeek… the caged bird effect.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Breaking my cell phone… twice. Stupid!
20. How will you be spending New Year's? I spent it watching a torchlight parade on the ski slope. Didn’t party crazy, because I’d been partying crazy the whole week!

24. What was your favorite TV program? Hmmm... 30 Rock, Top Chef, Dexter, and finally got into The West Wing.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Not hate, just very disappointed by.
26. What was the best book you read? Got a little obsessed with “Harry Potter”. After reading the last book, went back and listened to the entire saga on CD!
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? This year’s hot Silver Lake bands, including my friends… Castledoor! And The Deadly Syndrome!
28. What did you want and get? A better job

30. What was your favorite film of this year? This is a bad question to ask me, but luckily “Ratatouille” stayed at the top of my list, even now after great films like “No Country For Old Men”, “Michael Clayton,” “Juno” and “Sweeney Todd” threatened to dethrone it.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Ummm... probably drank Guiness. (St. Patty's Day and all). Turned 26.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? The Writer’s strike not happening so I could’ve actually thought about hitting the pavement with my script. And I probably could have left LA more.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007? Errrrrr...

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? As always, Cate Blanchett, my muse.
36. What political issue stirred you the most? The environment, the war, being anti-Wal-Mart.
