Themes
I've been thinking a lot about themes in stories and such. I have come to the conclusion that each story has a theme within it and that by trying to force a theme that isn't there onto a story is like putting a DVD into your VCR, sure it will go in there, but it doesn't make much sense.
I have, however been intentional and successful in identifying themes while writing. I am not really in this for agenda pushing themes, but it is nice when something clever crawls through words or pictures and gives new perspective on an old thing.
I still am not sure what path I am going to take this semester with my Film/T.V. class. I am extremely interested in television and would like to pursue writing a pilot, but the idea bucket is currently empty.
