(no subject)
Okay, I'm only slightly obsessed with my new kittens. Scotty is just the sweetest thing! He's so loving and cuddly. The only thing I wish he didn't do is bite my ankles at five in the morning! Jordy is coming along nicely. He will come out to play and to get petting, but gets super scared whenever I make a big movement or stand up. However, Jordy was the one who had limited human contact before I got him so I figure he is doing very well considering the circumstances.
Hmm, what else? Oh, here's something that is annoying. I went to sign my promissory note for my private loan from the Jewish Federation (it's subsidized, that's why I'm doing it). Anyway, they actually handed me the check, which is not what most loan programs do. They are supposed to send it straight to the University. So I called UofI Financial Aid today and they said that my tuition and fees won't be assessed for another two weeks and they won't accept any payment forms until there are charges on my account. So the long and the short of it is that I have a check for a large sum of money in my possession. Now I realize that it isn't valid until the University endorses it, but it still makes me nervous. So I put it in the safe, where it should be okay, but now I run the risk of forgeting it in the move. Oy, it's obnoxious!
On a more positive note, Carolyn and Rebecca are coming to visit on Thursday. Yay! I can't wait to see them.
