New Band, New Season, Life is Good
It was beautiful out today.
Last night I went to my first rehearsal with Matt Germak. It was pretty good. I don’t think this’ll be the band I get famous with or anything. I’m more in it for the experiential aspect of it. The band seemed like a great group of guys personality wise, talkative & interesting. I got the impression that they’re not going to mind if I mess up once in a while. That’s good for me, but if I had my pick of the 1000+ college & pro level guitar players in Boston, I’d demand excellence. Of course, I am doing this for free. If they wanted the best they’d probably have to fork over some cash.
At this point I could go on a rant about how more bars should let me in to play music but I think I’ll just keep it to a minimum. I can deal with only playing All Asia for another five months. I’ve never been in a hurry to grow up before, why start now?
