I'm currently watching The Lord of The Rings: Return of the King with my dad. Thank you, TNT. It's at the part where Frodo has just been wrapped in the spider web/stuff. Yeah, Samwise is about to become AWESOME. :D
Tonight is the Season 4 premiere of Mad Men! I cannot wait! I've been looking forward to this for a long time. I adore this show. *sigh* It's written so well.
I don't have work tomorrow until 5 pm. Yay for sleeping in! Hopefully I can get more done as far as applying for more jobs without my family constantly reminding me about chores that need to be done. *rolls eyes* I do chores around here all of the time and yet they don't get noticed.
whatever. they will be alright. :P
I need another joooooooooooob. I'm grateful for Target but it's not enough money to live on (I want to be in a mindset where I'm on my own contrary to where my mom thinks my head is).
My head has been hurting all day. My mom believes it's because I may need a new eye prescription. Let's hope it is because I have an appointment with my eye doctor on Friday.
Here's to hoping I get out of this town quicker than Shadowfax rides to Gandor.
ohhhhhh I'm such a geek. lmao.
Day 02 - The most underrated movie
I don't know if it's the most underrated movie, but it's definitely the most underrated Quentin Tarantino film: Death Proof.
I like the style more than anything in this movie. The way the story is set up is just great. We not fully sure as to why Stuntman Mike is stalking and killing these girls. Forget the fact that this movie has all of the things guys love: car chases, hot women, a lap dance, and violence. However, women can appreciate it too. The first group of girls are clearly whores. Seriously. Keep your legs closed once in a while. They die and when they do, you really don't feel bad for them. This second group of girls comes along and it takes a little bit, but you start to appreciate them. They get back at Stuntman Mike in the end and you're so happy for them. I found myself cheering for them at the end.
It's also a low budget film and to be able to do that and still make a good movie takes skill. Plenty of people feel that it's long and boring, but it REALLY isn't. Most action movies are that constant ACTION ACTION ACTION. This movie gives you time to absorb and observe the characters in their natural habitat (alright, that was kind of cheesy, but I couldn't think of better wording. xD).
I absolutely LOVE this movie.
Day 03 - A movie that makes you really happy
Pride & Prejudice
Whatever mood I'm in, this movie always makes me happier. Historical dramas, overall, make me happy. It's the dialogue, the costumes, the plots (usually), the music, and the style.
Matthew MacFayden & Kiera Knightley? WIN. They have so much chemistry. The only thing I really hate about this movie is the American ending. I don't need, "only call me Mrs. Darcy when you're incandescently happy". ugh. End it after the father says, "I'm quite at my leisure." CREDITS. geez. xD
Day 04 - A movie that makes you sad
Easily, Stop-Loss.
I also watch War movies thinking they're going to be happy. I don't know why my brain does that. hahaha. :/
I really don't have faith in MTV movies...because well it's MTV. They are very formulaic with their movies to the point where it's just obnoxious.
But this movie wasn't like the typical war movie. The storyline actually worked. Channing Tatum isn't the best, but he's still alright. His acting was tolerable enough in this film to make it believable. Ryan Phillipe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt...BRILLIANT. I know I'm already biased towards JGL, but his character was VERY believable. His character was really messed up as you'd expect with someone who's lost so much during the war. You really feel for these friends.
Heart-wrenching.
