Photos of the new place

Since Beth asked, some very bad photos are under the cut.  They were taken with my phone; my actual camera appears not to have survived the move.  Well, I'm hoping new batteries will revive it, but we'll have to wait and see.

The kitchen - before anything was delivered.  The counter space is amazing.

Looking toward the kitchen and entrance from the windows in the living space.

And the same view with stuff delivered.

Looking toward the living space from the front door.

And the same view with furniture.
There's a nice view of a new building to contrast with the older architecture of the neighborhood.

The study/spare room.  So many books to unpack.

The balcony, which will fit a bistro table and chairs.  Or maybe some potted plants if I feel an urge to try to get beyond my black thumbed history with greenery.
Floor plan-wise, I've got about 600 sq ft more in this place than in my rowhouse, but it feels (deceptively) smaller because it's a single level.  So far I'm very much enjoying the functional kitchen and spacious bathroom.  And the light -- so much ambient light!  And parking -- my very own assigned spot, so I never have to cruise the neighborhood for parking again!  Also, my commute today was 40 minutes shorter.  It was awesome.

The move went well with no major hitches.  I was a little cranky because I told the moving company twice that the address for delivery was not the same as the street address -- had to unload on the side of the building with the garage entrance -- but they still parked on the wrong street and called me saying they were unable to get into the building while I was waiting for them outside around the corner.  Eh.

I'm still waiting to get the correct key for the storage unit.  And I'm worried about the mail.  And I've got all kinds of pictures and framed stuff to hang but I haven't figure out what's going where.

But really, it's all good.
