(no subject)
I have not been MIA....even though it may appear that way since I have not posted in LJ since the beginning of February. It seems as though everyone has taken to myspace...I was thinking about creating a profile there, but it just seems like it would be something else that I would have to keep updated. Who knows...maybe I will. It seems like a good way to keep in touch with ppl, etc...but part of me doesn't want to fall under the myspace craze that has occurred. Will I buckle under all the peer pressure?!?!?! Muuuahhhhhahahahaha...guess you'll have to wait and see.
So big news that has happened recently:
1. I got into WKU for my graduate work and received a string scholarship
2. I got the graduate assistantship which will cover my entire tuition (So, I am getting a full ride to school, but I have to work 20 hours a week for it. BIG DEAL! I have been saving up money to do this for 3 years, so now I can just use that towards living expenses etc....and perhaps I can put the rest towards a new car after I finish my masters)
3. Darcy is going to go to Kentucky with me :-) I am sooo excited that he has decided to come with me...it's just gonna make my experience down there even MORE enjoyable. I wasn't too fond of the whole long distance thing, but I was obviously willing to do it if it was our only option. But I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore! Both of us have been in Rochester our entire lives, so it's gonna be so much fun experiencing another part of the county and doing it together :-)
That's the biggest new news. There is a lot that I am looking forward to this summer before my big move:
- Nickel Creek tomorrow night with the Ukes
- Apartment search, VP and Carolyn time, and some Nashville fun :)
- Abbipalozza
- Strawberry Park
- OATS
- K-Doggs wedding
- GREY FAUUUUUX
I just went out for some cheap ass mexican food and shopping fun with Kate and Reags. Get to see Shanster tomorrow :-) Life is good...don't you agree?
