So, this week has been fun. Finished my evolution paper in an 18 hour marathon. Pretty interesting to research after oh, 4 hours. After that, the bullshitting center of my brain took over. by 5AM monday, I was just saying to hell with it and finsihed. Hopefully I didn't do too poorly. Anyway, after Molecular, Nick, Andy, and I went to Fred Meyer. They got their hair cut, and I restocked on Mountain Dew and got a Webcam for online "video sessions". Yeah, Yeah.
Tuesday was Founder's Day. The band was invited to play for the faculty and we sounded good. We played Star Wars as our recessional. Greatness ensued. But before we could do that we had to listen to the One Word: Boringashell! This guy from the UP of the East (AKA Notre Dame du Lac)talked about this Holy Cross guy for 55 freakin minutes. Our only respite was when a bird frew around INSIDE the CHILES CENTER. It was great. In the meantime, the band lost its embouchure...lovely for playing freakin' STAR WARS!
Anyhow, on my way back, it was raining like crazy and I got soaked. Mom and Dad had been waiting for me outside because they expected I'd be done at 5 like I said instead of 6 like I was. I got dried off, got a letter from Jen and two issues of Nature. *sigh* One was about genetics, the other about evolution. Bliss.
They went home, I found that
hall photo is done. I am on the right with the Tuba and the Lady on my arm. What can I say? I am a mack, but I still am a one-lady man ;).
I had a staff member write an email to my boss, Jim, glowing about how helpful I was for her. I am happy about that. Going in my portfolio. Yes!
Wed, I got an A on my History test, learned about the Renaissance, talked french, studied for my Chem test. Hung out in Mary and Erin's room. Had a good time. Didn't do much else. This morning I got done with my Chem test 20 mins early. blanked on Amperometry. Damn. Oh well, I can deal with it. Tests are only worth 6% each, so if I get a C, I am still in the A range. I also got an A on my Chem Lab writeup. Life is good. These last few days are hell. I don't want to go to class. I just want to hang out with one person and do nothing else. I find out about RCC tomorrow....cross your fingers.
