Same here. It's like the SNL sketch that Gore did on Bizarro-Earth where the entire world loved America and we were swimming in money and we'd solved global warming. *sigh*

I remember waay back when in '92 or therebouts and Gore appeared on Letterman as a guest. He was friggin' hilarious, and ever after I could not understand how people thought he was a stuffed shirt.
