I can't imagine how--there's just a couple of them, after all... ;)
And oh, this is beautiful
Thank you. I cranked it out at work one slow morning, and it's really not changed since then. Bless Professor!Peter--he's as fully formed in my head as the DI is.
caffeinated enough to be allowed to communicate with the outside world
Yeah--I think it's time for a second cup of joe. And then back to watching "Cash in the Attic"! (unexpected day off--hurrah for Best Boss Ever)
I might start making it back to the first page of comments again.
That's just crazy talk *g*

I have no man, but I do have some lovely new shoes - pink patent high heel, shiny red high heels and black and brown with beads heels. Gorgeous.

Ooooh, your new shoes sound fabulous. *has shoe envy*

They sound nice! Can I join the club? I just got some lovely brown leather boots with long legs and buckles, low heels, though, because I'll have lots of standing and walking in them to do.

I DO so love this alt!world Peter & Rose. Not more than the other, but certainly no less.
Peter leaned back in his chair, fighting the urge to shout down the table to the colleague still rambling ... -but that hadn’t kept his colleagues from allowing the deluded lecturer to ramble on for the past forty-five minutes.
ODG. I *know* this person. I *work* with this person. I work with *many* of these people. Interminable is the only way to describe faculty/staff meetings. From the dope who thinks we care about the 45 individual 3 image exhibits they've set up to the meeting chair incapable of making them STFU. ODG.
Turn, rub. Turn, rub
I adore the imagery of the turning ring as it helps him uncoil the past and move towards the future. Even though the ring is circular, it is not an ouroboros, so caught within itself that it can't do anything, he isn't spinning in place anymore either...

It depends on my mood as to which one I favor more--but I do love both worlds very much indeed.
ODG. I *know* this person.
:) so do I. WHY DO THEY NEVER SHUT UP?!

Thank you. I just liked the rhythm of it, honestly--and it provided a nice unifier as Peter collects his thoughts. Yet again, though, my subconscious was working merrily away...
why, FFS, was he *at* the meeting to begin with
He probably had to provide an update on his research, or something. Or maybe he was just being conscientious...
he has one for the cottage in the other, right ?
Ummm...I don't think I ever said he did...did I? The doors to the rooms in the cottage are skeleton keyed...I don't see why the front door couldn't have an ancient key, too.
I think perhaps Prof!Peter is over analyzing this just a little bit...
Just a bit, yes. But it's what he does ;)

Hypnotic, that! Certainly sets the mood.
Delicate, sensitive, emotional, loving. As are ALL your Peter/Rose stories. Just love them to pieces! Would you ever consider putting them all together into a book of short stories? Seriously ... I'd buy more than one copy, give as gifts, etc!

Thank you. *sigh* I do so enjoy writing this spin on Peter and Rose; it's a fun way to play with things that simply wouldn't work in the Things 'verse.
Would you ever consider putting them all together into a book of short stories?
I wish! I couldn't, though--it wouldn't be legal :/
*hugs*
