100+ Films -- UPDATED

For someone who wants to go to Film School, I have come to the realization that unless the film stars Johnny Depp or a Disney-Pixar movie…I probably haven’t seen it. I know who’s in what and the basic plot of many movies, but I’ve just never seen them. We, my sister and I, have decided to remedy this by composing a list of movies and renting them.

Thanks for the list :D I've added most of those to my queue at Netflix...I danced around the westerns though. For some reason, I cannot stand westerns. My dad loves them, but I hate them...I kept Butch Cassidy though.

Pan's Labyrinth
I own this already :D Love it.

Bobby
I have to think about this one...I'm not into political movies (or about political families) mostly because Hollywood just can't keep their opinions out of everything. Probably because some of my views tend to conflict with theirs (and that is partly why I'm hesistant to watch Platoon My dad is a Vietnam vet and despises what Oliver Stone did and how he represented the war, but I added it anyway).

Pulp Fiction
Seen this (or at least most of it)...My mom put it on one night. And I know I'll know stoned to death, but...I'm not a big fan of Quentin Tarantino... it's kind of like how I hate Andy Warhol in art history.

Some movies I've seen but didn't list (or at least what I can remember)
Jaws (1975)
Flight of the Pheonix (1965)
Flight of the Phoenix (2004)
Letters from Iwa Jima (2007)
Forrest Gump (1994)
The Hunt for Red October (1990)
Scrooge (1951) - My parents make us watch this every Xmas and I think it's the 1951 version
Apollo 13 (1995)
Atonement (2007)
Apocalypse Now (1979) - in a high school English class of all places
a bunch of the earliest silent films in 19th century art history class including Trip to the Moon

There may be more but those are those are the ones I can remember of the top of my head....

Bobby is not really about politics, just much more about the people who were affected the day that he died.

I get what you are saying about Pulp Fiction I know people who are in film are not a fan of his movies.

OOH I noticed you put Pride and Prejudice. Watch the BBC version too with Colin Firth and if you like Hugh's movies watch Sense and Sensibility. I love his character in it.

LOL @ American Pie. I know. A total dude film. :D

Alrighty. And I already have Sense and Sensibility...my list is already out of date...I've been adding so many movies today that I decided that it would be impossible to keep up. :)
