Hey everyone, it's an annoying day here so I'm trying to turn that frown upside down and think about awesome things! Please comment with something making you happy or excited or pleased or whatever right now, however big or small!
One thing pleasing me is this new trend of photo montage art: fake romance novel covers.

Other things brightening my day:
- New coworker. She is AWESOME.
- Jade waking me by chewing on a squeeky toy. She hasn't played in forever, so it was nice to see her acting puppyish again!
- Bouncing around ideas of long-term relationship plans with Ally.
- The fact it is still sweater weather! :D

Also going home tonight and watching Donald Glover on Conan on my DVR.
Yay for new Community! I just opened up my Season 1 DVDs this weekend. I remembered putting the pilot on such a high pedestal when I first watched it, but now I don't think it's nearly as great as some of the subsequent episodes they've churned out. That bodes really, really well for the show.

I agree, the Community pilot is amazing especially for how much information it could pack into a pilot and still have something going on, but the later episodes are actually better episodes of the show. I like this season so much as well, but on the comments to the AV Club recaps I notice that there are plenty of folks who really only liked the silly and absurdist/meta aspects of the show and don't really like the heartfelt, people-coming-together-and-changing-each-other aspects, so they really, really didn't like Troy's birthday for example. For me that's what keeps me coming back. But I think the online viewing audience--that is, the geekier and more young male skewing audience--are much more likely to freak out over anything that looks like sentiment. The older I get the less I find I care about that.
I'll have to watch Conan as well!
