I just looked up a bit of Potter detail for a fic. Fear me.
I just saw this post about the SGA cancellation/SGU casting mess and all I can say is *headdesk*. I really am going to have to write that post about how advertisers actually target and how networks respond to those targets and that no, it isn't that advertisers don't want your money, woman in your 40s, but that you aren't a typical woman in your 40s. Because folks really, really don't get it. (There's also the part about how fandom is really really small.)
Ugh, do you think that posting it would be just entirely too wanky for words, or would it provide a service, or would everyone just decide that I am 100% full of shit?

In other news, I'm a little freaked out by people I don't know following me on Twitter. There's not much content there, unlike LJ where I usually at least vaguely know why someone has friended me. I mostly yammer about Ryan's antics with jenncho and dana_kujan, or chat with sistermagpie about movies, or comment about the latest Obama poster I saw or how the weather gives me a headache. I don't mean the spambots/hucksters/famewhores either. It's puzzling.
