So, a few days ago, my laptop completely crashed. I don't exactly know what happened, or why it happened, but needless to say, I was devastated.
Thankfully, though, it could probably easily be fixed, according to my computer savvy bf. He'd just need to wipe it, and reinstall Windows. Which is cool, I guess, except for the fact that now it means I have to reinstall every program I had, and even worse, put my 100+ gb of music back onto iTunes, along with all the playlists and whatnot (which I have no idea how to do! Ha! *dies*).
So, suffice to say, this has been a traumatic and slightly crappy few days. Thankfully I have books to keep me calm.
Also, another thing that's been keeping me preoccupied is a potential future story I've been planning out. I'm not sure if it's going to be happening anytime soon, but it involves Sandmen, murder and mystery. *cue eerie music* And yeah, the main character is a guy... >.> News on the possible new WIP will come soon, when I actually know if it's going to be a thing, or if I'll put it back in the 'future WIP' folder.
On Wednesday, I bought some new books, since I had the money and needed two of the books for future research.
First book was a complete collection of fairy tales by Hans Christian Anderson, the second was a book called My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me, which is an anthology of fairy tales rewritten by various people, including Neil Gaiman. I bought it mainly so I could have a new perspective on rewriting fairytales. It's always good to have new perspectives on these things.
Third book is something I've been extremely excited about: Jane by April Linder!!! *squeee* I've been impatiently waiting for this book for ages, so when I saw it at my local bookstore in hardcover, I just had to buy it. :3
So, that's my uneventful week. I know I said I'd post metrics, and I will, just later today, when I've finished fixing up my laptop.
