random bullshit
Ok,
so last week, Wednesday. I went to a show in Sauget at Pop's. I had a friend that came in from out of town. He offered to pay for my ticket and drinks if I wanted to go to the show. So I agreed and met him down at the bar/venue.
So we drink our asses off at the show...then headed next door to the tittie bar. HAHAHAHHAAHA. Good times.
Anyways, the people he came with ditched him so I took him back to his hotel. Well it was like 3 in the morning or something when we left Diamond's. And it was pouring rain.
So, I am going around an off ramp to get off the highway to head to downtown St. Louis to his hotel. I hit a slick spot on the ramp. Ended up blowing out a tire. My rim was TOTALLY fucked up. Not the hubcap...the RIM. Chunks of it were missing and it was all jagged and tore to hell.
Well, yaya for me and the warranty on the tires. Yeah....4 BRAND NEW TIRES. Only had them for a year. Didn't even have 10,000 miles on them when this happened. I just had to go to a junk yard and buy a 14inch rim. Got a new tire for free. *WOOT WOOT*
So anyways, the damn tire blows and at 3 something in the morning, in the pouring rain, I get to stand outside for 45minutes or so. I was wearing lace up jeans, and a thin 3/4 length sleeve zip up blouse. Yeah, I was freezing my ass off. Thank God for heaters...and even more so that my car has a brand new heater core and the heater is like the fiery infernos of hell.
Let's see...LAST NIGHT!!
I drove 2 1/2 hours to go see moderndayzero and Three Days Grace. There was a local band that opened the show. I think their name was something like Aurdijaln. Shit if I know...weird name. I know how to pronounce it, just not spell it. Anyways, they're a cool band. I signed up for their email list. So I don't have to figure out how to spell it. I'll get an email and then I'll know, hehehehehe.
Right, so the show was cool. I got to talk to my mdz boys for a good long time. Scotty mostly. He and I are the closest. Although Rock was kind enough to share his food with me. I met the new band member...Zach. First impressions are a bitch. And I hope he can redeem himself. Richie asked me what I thought of Zach and I told him that I was going to have to get used to him and that he (Richie) should ask me again after 4 or 5 more shows. I don't know what to make of him.
The problem with Zach is, he is very arrogant. He moved down here from Chicago. I don't know if that has anything to do with how he acts, but I wouldn't doubt it is part of it. My friend that went with me to the show took an immediate dislike to Zach, and it seemed that her exact feeling were reciprocated.
Zach was flirty with me, and I can't tell if he likes me or not. But, I do know that he knows better than to get shitty with me. He sees how close I am to the rest of the band and how much they like me. So either he doesn't like me and he is just dealing with it. Or he does like me. I don't know.
See, I have a CLOSE relationship with Scott indefinately. He always hugs me and kisses me...non-stop. It's not a sexual thing...nowhere near it. Scotty is married to a great woman. He is head over heels in love with her. And she knows he and I are just friends. So, I'm entitled to special treatment.
Well, the rest of the band (Richie, Brian, and Rock) will all kiss me on my cheek, where as Scotty will kiss me on the mouth.
I guess that Zach seen all of them kissing me and hugging me or whatever. Because at one point, I walked by where Scotty and Zach were sitting. These two girls were throwing themselves all over them. Scotty called me over. LOL, I was his savior all night. Anytime a girl would advance on him, he'd grab me. HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA.
So anyways, I'm talking to Scotty and Zach sticks his hand out and says, "Jamie, it was really nice to meet you."
Being the civil person I am, I accepted his hand, figuring he wanted to shake hands. Apparantly he feels he is Rico Suave. Because he proceeded to pull my hand towards him and kiss it. LMAO. I looked at him and said, "Look at you trying to act like a pimp!"
I guess he thinks that his "charm" will win any girl over. I'm no pushover though. He just struck me as really arrogant and left a bad taste in my mouth.
Maybe I'm being to hard on him though. I will give him another chance. This band means a lot to me, so I will tolerate him. Hopefully he and I will eventually become friends.
One thing's for certain, he is NO Matt Arana. I miss my Matt. He was NEVER this cocky.
Ooooh. Perk. I got to see my all time favorite radio dj. Thom West came down to Carbondale last night as well. YAYA!!! I haven't seen him in so long. It was really good to see him again. He is such a sweetheart. So I got a big kiss and hug from him. The last time I saw Thom was, I believe in September, when mdz played the Bottleneck Blues Bar.
Nice thing is, they have been signed to play the BBB again on teh 24th of this month. So even though I'll miss all of the next 4 or so mdz shows (no money to drive to Urbana IL, Chicago, Indiana, and so on...), I will get to see them on the 24th.
I feel really guilty though. The shit I do to make money has me tied up the weekend of Thanksgiving. So, threesixtysmile's LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR is on the 26th...and I can't go. I'm so depressed about this. I love working their shows for them....and that is, I'm their merch-girl you perverts! Anyways, I love seeing their shows. They have such a great vibe that they bring with them, and the crowd TOTALLY feeds off of it.
Plus, I'm depressed because I won't get to see Johnny. That is just really depressing right there. I don't know when I'll see them again. I mean...they own their own bar. I can always go down there to see them. But it's not the same.
Maybe I can get them to come out to the BBB on the 24th. Who knows....
